2010 Senior Portrait Packages
The first question most clients ask is, “How much is this going to cost?”
The senior portrait industry has fed on the practice of charging a very small sitting fee to get a client in the door, and then gouging customers with high print prices after the client falls in love with the photos. It has been this way for years and frankly, we find it disturbing. This is why our packages include the sitting fee and a nice print package with no other hidden costs. Reasonably priced a la carte prints can be ordered with each package if you’d like more than what’s included.
We are not going to make the claim that we are cheaper than the competition, but we can say this: Our pricing is simple, up front and honest. And when you walk away with your senior portraits in hand, it’ll be knowing that you were treated fairly. We will do all we can to ensure that you:
- Are happy with the images that were taken at your session and that they represent your personality and taste.
- Feel like you finished the project with enough prints in hand for the price you paid.
- Enjoyed yourself and was it a good experience.
Here are a few important things to know before we break down the 2010 packages:
·We do not put a limit on outfits. Our sessions are based on time and we feel it’s a bit odd that you would be charged to change your clothes. And let’s face it, some outfits just don’t work so we encourage you to bring lots of things to try. Most clients bring a range from dressy to casual.
·All clients receive a proof folio. This is a fold-out folio that holds eight proof prints. It’s yours to keep, along with the photos inside. If you’d like more than the single folio and eight proofs, more proofs can be ordered separately.
·Every session comes with a print package. You can add more prints a la carte if you would like. You can also break up your prints into different poses. The only limitation is that wallets need to come in at least sets of eight for each pose.
·We’ll provide your yearbook picture. Please bring your school’s yearbook requirements with you to the pre-meeting or shooting session. Your yearbook picture is provided as part of your session. If you are required to have your yearbook photo taken at another studio, please let us know. We will deduct that cost from your session.
·All sessions come with one free retouching credit. Most people have a few poses retouched, but either way, one of them is on us. All other retouching is $15 per pose.
·View your photos at your leisure. You’ll be able to look at your images through a secure Web site or we can provide you with a DVD, if that’s your preference.
·Check our progress during your session. We always look at the images while we are shooting – either on the camera itself or on a computer screen – so you can see how they look. We have found this goes a long way in getting the best out of you as a model.
·Make your appointment. When you schedule your session with us, a $50 deposit is required to hold studio or on-location time. That fee is applied to your session, so as long as you show up at your scheduled time. Please keep in mind that payment for your Standard, Deluxe, Outdoor or Indoor On-Location fees are due on the day of your photo shoot. Your balance on any additional prints is due when they are ordered.
Here’s a look at how our 2010 packages break down. We’d love to talk with you in person or by phone about pricing.
Standard Studio: This package is both classic and economical. It is designed for people who do not want a whole lot of frills, but do want a very nice, traditional senior portrait. This is an in-studio session on a painted portrait background and includes many poses. What you do not get in the Standard Package is several background changes and personal props in the photo shoot. This session has a shooting time of about one hour. Your yearbook photo is included.
Included - (1) 16x20, (4) 8x10, (6) 5x7, (48) wallets, and
(8) proofs and proof folio
Deluxe Studio – This package adds more flare to your senior portraits than the Standard session. We will still shoot on the classic painted background for that traditional portrait look, but we also venture out and see where your personality takes us. We do not have pre-set stations for our photo shoots. Everything we do is based on what we learn when we meet you. We use a lot of color and depth to help create images that are uniquely yours. This session lasts around two-and-a-half hours and there are no limitations on props or outfits. Make sure you bring things with you that help add a personal touch -- whether it’s an iPod, a hockey stick, a musical instrument or a riding saddle. Remember, you should have fun doing your senior portraits. It’s your chance to be a model for the day, and remember your Yearbook Photo is included with this package.
Included - (1) 16x20, (6) 8x10, (10) 5x7, (80) wallets, and (8) proofs and proof folio
Auto Add-On – We have the unique ability to pull a car or motorcycle into our studio and use it as a background that would totally represent you. Many seniors have scraped together quarters and nickels to buy their own first car and nothing sparks a memory more than that first set of wheels. Choosing the Auto Add-On will give us about 45 extra minutes of shooting time during the session and this option can be applied to the Deluxe Studio or Standard Studio session. There are no prints included with this option.
Outdoors On-Location – This package is normally an add on to the Standard Studio or Deluxe Studio package, but it also can be done on its own if that’s your preference. Some of the best outdoor spots for photographs are those that are familiar and meaningful to you. Whether that’s a sports field, a park, by the river or a lake, we go to places that represent your life and photograph there. We will travel within a 15-mile radius of our Wyandotte studio to a setting of your choice, and shooting time is about 1 hour. If you want to get really creative and do something farther away, we can. However, fees will be worked out by location.
Included - (1) 16x20, (4) 8x10, (6) 5x7, (48) wallets, and
(8) proofs and proof folio
*25% off if combined with Standard or Deluxe Studio session
Indoors On-Location – This package is the ultimate in personal imagery. We take the studio to you, whether it is at your home, in the gym locker room, the music room or stage. If you really want pictures that in 20 years will spark a memory, this is the way to go. We bring a full studio kit and light the session the same as we would in the studio. We will travel anywhere within a 20-mile radius of our studio and will shoot any time of day or night if it helps with availability of the hockey rink or row house. Keep in mind, this is a very personal photo shoot at a location that is dear to your heart. The images will be one of a kind. It is hard to give the exact length of your shooting time, due to the unpredictability of set up needs at each location, but plan on at least two hours. Shooting will take place at one main location but can be split to different areas. For example, if we are shooting at your high school gym, we can do a shoot on the court and one in the locker room. What we can’t do for the basic fee is shoot in the gym, then pack up, drive to another location and do another shoot. If you do want to do two separate locations, we can work with you on price.
Included - (1) 16x20, (6) 8x10, (10) 5x7, (120) wallets, and (8) proofs and proof folio
